BOSASO, Puntland — Police in the Bari region have carried out a security operation in the Laanta Hawada and Xaafatu Carab neighborhoods of Bosaso, arresting several individuals suspected of involvement in the trafficking of hashish and illegal weapons.
According to police, officers seized a quantity of hashish, an AK-47 rifle, and hand grenades during the operation.
Authorities said further investigations are underway to determine the extent of the suspects’ alleged activities and any possible links to other individuals.
Bari Regional Police said operations targeting illegal drugs and unauthorized weapons will continue as part of efforts to strengthen security in Bosaso.
