Somalia and Egypt Reaffirm Commitment to Sovereignty and Strategic Cooperation
CAIRO, Egypt — Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisalam Ali, held bilateral talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty on the sidelines of the 166th Session of the Council of Arab League Foreign Ministers in Cairo.
The discussions focused on strengthening the longstanding bilateral relationship and expanding cooperation between Somalia and Egypt, alongside an exchange of views on key regional developments and issues of mutual concern.
The two ministers reaffirmed their shared commitment to upholding the sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, and political independence of their respective countries. They also emphasized the importance of continued mutual support and coordination in international and multilateral forums.
The meeting underscored the two countries’ commitment to deepening strategic cooperation and advancing their shared interests at both regional and international levels.
