The Federal Republic of Somalia has strongly condemned the attempted drone attack targeting the holy city of Makkah, which was intercepted by the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces before reaching the city.
Somalia also condemned the recent attacks targeting civilian areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing solidarity with the Saudi people and government.
The Somali government reaffirmed its support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and emphasized the Kingdom’s right to protect its territory, citizens, and the Islamic holy sites.
The Federal Government of Somalia further underscored the importance of safeguarding Makkah and other sacred sites from threats and attacks, stressing that the security of the holy places remains a matter of deep importance to Muslims worldwide.
